Kayla Xuân Tougas

I am a 2026 SURF fellow studying neuroscience and public health at UC Berkeley. In Dr. Holly Ingraham’s Lab, I am investigating how the lamina terminalis of the hypothalamus impacts the brain-body axis during pregnancy under the mentorship of Dr. Sarah Mohr. I plan to pursue a career in medicine, where I hope to address critical gaps in women’s health by advancing our understanding of female physiology and enhancing the delivery of clinical care.
